Plant new roots with NLCP
We need your help crossing the finish line of our $4 million campaign for a new building.
The North Liberty Community Pantry is excited to open our new facility at 350 W Penn St to our neighbors on June 23, 2025. The new 10,500-square-foot facility will allow for more food donations to be accepted, space for neighbors, and food and clothing distribution under the same roof.
Opening this new facility is a community-wide effort that will have an impact on neighbors facing food insecurity for years to come.
“We have seen unprecedented growth from neighbors needing assistance with food, clothing, and connections to other resources and services. Compared with 2021, we are on pace to provide 3 times the amount of food and clothing to 3 times as many people,” said Ryan Bobst, Executive Director of NLCP. “We are Planting New Roots to meet the growing needs of our neighbors today and in the future. The new facility will shift challenges we face today into strengths we will lean on tomorrow.”

The need for more space is apparent!

External construction continues.

Since 2021, we have grown to serve more than 1,100 families throughout Johnson County. We’ve increased the amount of food distributed by 153% and have seen a 662% increase in clothing distributed. We made 2,191 deliveries, which is a 285% increase over last year. We need your help to meet this growing need.
"I’m on oxygen and just got out of a nursing home so it’s wonderful to have Grocery Delivery. I don’t know how I’d survive without you. You do more for me than you know."
